10 Uncommonly Used Batangueño Words.

Hi guys! In this blog I will share some knowledge about uncommon Filipino words and I will use it in a sentence. So I will use Batangueño words, because it is somehow funny to speak with. And I will use it in a sentence individually.


Here’s the 10 uncommonly used Batangueño Tagalog words. Aside from the famous ala eh! expression and the ano ga?, there are a lot more to be included on the list but I’ll have these 10:

10 Uncommonly used Batangueño Words
  1. Litar (someone who goes anywhere)

Example: “Are gang batang are, ay pagkaka-litar.”

2. Landa (the sense of feeling hot)

Example: “Ang init ng araw ay nakakalanda.”

3.  Pihong Kapoy (real tired)

Example: “Huwag kang tumakbo, pihong kapoy ka mamaya, tamo.”

4.  Punshunan (food festival)

Example: “Ikaw ay pumarne na at tayo’y pupunta sa punshunan.”

5.  Patikar (fast running)

Example: “Kapag hinabol ka ng aso, huwag kang papatikar ng takbo at lalo kang hahabulin.”

6. Pagat-pagat (chasing)

Example: “Hala, ayun si Inday at pagat-pagat si Kardo sa kanila at may babae raw.”

7. Bang-aw (wild dog)


Example: “Ikaw ay mag-iingat sa mga bang-aw at matindi ang rabis ng mga iyan.”

8.  Pultahan (Gate)


Example: “Isarado mo ang pultahan at baka may makapasok at tayo ay manakawan pa.”

9. Nadagil (accidental bump)


Example: “Ayon si Rosina at binabayaran ang nadagil niyang mga baso sa mall.”

10.  Lilipos (turn)


Example: “Pag nakita mo ang signboard ng Jollibee ay lilipos ka na sa kantong iyon.”
